committee descriptions

grant committee
  • Works with Director of Grants and President

  • Reviews and assesses all grant applications that are submitted

  • Attends regular Grant Committee meetings (approximately 4-5 per year) to discuss and determine which grants will be presented at #firstgiving and #secondgiving

  • Attends potential site visits to organizations requesting funding


social committee
  • Works with President and Social Chair

  • Helps determine budget for event

  • Develops a strategy for acquiring sponsors

  • Ensures sponsors are highlighted on website and social media

  • Determines which decorations are needed based upon location


general help committee
  • Works with all committees

  • Organizes and delegates event night tasks

  • Coordinates admission, check-in and check-out

  • Signs up new members if necessary

  • Works with the secretary to produce voting ballots

  • Distributes voting ballots during #firstgiving and #secondgiving

  • Counts the votes to determine grant award winner
