Harmony House was established in 2014 with the vision of addressing the critical needs of homeless and
at-risk youth between the ages of
18 to 24 by providing safe housing and foundational support. After extensive renovation, Harmony House is on the threshold of opening a new haven and is seeking financial support to "Fill Our House" with essential appliances, furnishings, and decorations to create an inviting place of refuge for young women. The grant will permit them to make this space a true home for these women.
Blossom Hill provides high-quality and individualized care for adults with profound physical and intellectual disabilities in northeast Ohio. In 2024, they are expanding to deliver day program services for individuals with developmental disabilities and would like to fully outfit a sensory room with furniture, equipment, and activity areas to support their therapeutic mission in their Abilities Enrichment Center.

Hope Recovery Community is a Medina County based non-profit focused on creating a community that no longer fears addiction to drugs and alcohol, but embraces recovery. Hope Recovery Community is developing Hope 4 Her, a prevention and recovery support services program that targets women and/or children impacted by addiction and creates a transformative opportunity to cultivate leadership and life skills.

September 2024 - Second Giving

First Glance has been welcoming students and building relationships in the Kenmore neighborhood of Akron for over 20 years. They aim to provide hope and connection to students who struggle with exposure to drugs and violence, food insecurity and difficult home lives. Our grant will provide funding to furnish an at-risk youth drop-in center for hundreds of students as a “home away from home."
The mission of the Ben Curtis Family Foundation is to help children overcome disadvantages to become the best champion of their own lives. BCF's Birdie Bags program regularly distributes non-perishable food to children in Northeast Ohio facing food insecurity in twelve area schools.

The Well Community Development Corporation works to encourage a holistic approach to systemic issues to improve the quality of life within the Middlebury neighborhood by fostering choice in housing, job creation, and community pride. The Well CDC is developing a trauma-informed Career Development Program for low-income women.
